The school is a safe, caring place and aims to meet the needs of all students. Members of staff provide support and flexible learning activities for individual students.

Booleroo Centre and District Kindergarten with Rural Care operates as a stand alone site, however it is closely affiliated with the Booleroo Centre District School and is recognized as a birth to year 12 site by our community. Children are able to transition to parent school of choice, should you live in another town and wish to access our preschool service.

Nestled in a very picturesque setting at the base of Mt Remarkable in the Southern Flinders Ranges, Melrose Primary School is an integral and valued part of our local community. In a caring, stimulating environment our children develop positive self esteem enabling them to become independent, confident learners who value diversity difference, are tolerant understanding of others, take responsibility for their learning actions feel confident to participate in an ever changing society.

We hope that you and your family enjoy your time with us at Orroroo Kindergarten. Our present Kindergarten was established in 1981 and is the result of the hard work and the initiative of many parents in the district. Since then the parents and staff have worked together to upgrade facilities, renew equipment and improve the preschool experience for our children. Today the building and resources reflect the contributions made over the years. We greatly value those contributions and continue to encourage parental input.

Orroroo Area School services the communities of Orroroo, Black Rock, Carrieton, Pekina, Morchard, Walloway, Dawson, Johnburg, Belton, Willowie and Hammond. Students are transported from a radius of about 50km. The district supports cereal cropping and pastoral pursuits and the township of Orroroo is the service centre for outlying areas as well as an extremely healthy flow of tourists. Generally the district is prosperous, School Card numbers are modest and families are stable. The township has an extremely positive feel about it which also permeates the school.

Situated just off the Barrier Highway, halfway between Adelaide and Broken Hill, Peterborough Primary School has all the qualities and support one would expect from a country community. We have a long, proud history and, in 2008, we celebrated 125 years of public education. Our school community believes that, by valuing respect, responsibility, honesty and kindness to all, we will all be excellent learners.

Within this practised ethos, a skilled, caring teaching and non-teaching staff have prioritised literacy, numeracy and ICT as curriculum emphases. Special programs include literacy support, school choir, SAPSASA sport and coaching clinics, and music.

At Peterborough Community Preschool we believe that children learn through play.

Each session is a variety of challenging and engaging activities that are set up to encourage different types of play both indoors and outdoors.

At the beginning of each term we learn about friendships and developing our social skills so that the children can make and keep friends as well as respond to situations in a positive manner.

Wilmington Primary School is set in the Beautiful Valley in the lower Flinders Ranges.
It offers individualised learning programs with the flexibility that a small school can offer. The school is committed to creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
The school has a strong teaching focus on literacy and numeracy and a current focus on gardening, through the propagation of saltbush and other plants.

Founded in 1970 Wilmington Kindergarten has well maintained facilities including a newly refurbished kitchen. The indoor environment has a wet area, home corner and carpeted area. Children also use the large sheltered verandah for painting, woodwork and construction with large blocks.

The Kindy provides modern computing facilities, with children able to access a "Kidsmart" computer and a 52" Interactive Touch screen with internet connection.

The beautiful outdoor play area at Wilmington Kindergarten features a huge sandpit, climbing equipment, play house and car, swings and vegetable patch. A pepper tree provides shade to the sandpit and eating area, while swings are covered by a shade structure.
